ArianeGroup’s teams in Kourou have transferred the central core of the second Ariane 6 launcher from the Launcher Assembly Building (BAL) to the ELA4 launch pad 800 metres away.

The central core, consisting of the main stage produced in Les Mureaux, France, and the upper stage produced in Bremen, Germany, was assembled in an efficient industrial process.

After being erected and positioned on the launch pad under the mobile gantry, it was then joined by the first booster followed by the second.

The launcher’s upper part, comprising the fairing and the payload, will subsequently complete the launcher in the run-up to its lift-off.
