DATA PROTECTION POLICY

At ArianeGroup, we attach great importance to the protection of your privacy and your personal data.

In accordance with European Regulation 2016/679 of 26 April 2016 relating to the protection of personal data (GDPR) and the national French and German data protection regulations, ArianeGroup undertakes to implement appropriate measures for the protection, confidentiality and security of all personal data collected.

All personal data collected on the https://www.ariane.group/fr/ website (hereinafter the “Website”) is processed by ArianeGroup SAS (hereinafter “ArianeGroup” or “we/us”), the controller.

The purpose of this data protection policy (hereinafter the “Data Protection Policy”) is to inform any person browsing the Website and/or filling in the forms available on the Website for recruitment, newsletter subscription or contact purposes (hereinafter the “User(s)” or “you”) of the undertakings made by ArianeGroup to ensure respect for their personal data.

 

 

1. Definitions

  • “Personal data”: any data enabling a natural person to be directly or indirectly identified.
  • “Data processing”: any operation performed on personal data, in particular collection, recording, use, transmission or disclosure.
  • “Data controller”: the legal entity responsible for determining the purposes of the processing and the means used.
  • “Processor”: a legal entity which processes personal data on behalf of the controller.

 

 

2. Data collected

ArianeGroup makes every effort to ensure that personal data collected and processed is relevant, adequate and limited to what is necessary in relation to the above-defined purposes. We take all necessary steps to ensure that your data is accurate, complete and, if necessary, kept up to date.

We process personal data concerning you that you may disclose to us, in particular in the course of the following operations:

 

  • when you browse the Website; 
  • when you ask us questions about our products and services or about our company’s activity, or to make complaints, via the “Contact” section of the Website;
  • when you agree to receive newsletters and other commercial information from us;
  • when you wish to apply for a job with ArianeGroup – see GDPR information for recruitment.

 

Within this framework, ArianeGroup may collect and process the following personal data:

 

  • your identity: given name, surname, title;
  • your contact details: e-mail, mobile phone number;
  • your technical and Website browsing information (see section 8 below on cookies);
  • any other information that you directly and voluntarily provide to us when you use the Website and in connection with our activity.

 

Mandatory information that you provide is indicated by an asterisk at the time the data are collected on the relevant forms. Any failure to reply or any reply deemed abnormal by ArianeGroup may result in us refusing (or being unable) to process your request.

ArianeGroup may ask you to provide certain personal data for direct marketing/marketing communication purposes. You may explicitly and freely consent to or refuse the collection and processing of your personal data for these purposes by means of a tick box or by voluntarily and specifically providing your data for this purpose.

You undertake to ensure that the personal data you provide to ArianeGroup are up to date, accurate, complete and unambiguous.

 

 

3. Purposes of processing

ArianeGroup processes data for explicit, legitimate and specified purposes.

In particular, your data may be processed for the following purposes:

 

  • to answer your questions, requests for information or complaints

In this context, the legal basis for processing is either the execution of a contract if the request relates to a contractual relationship existing between ArianeGroup and yourself, or the legitimate interest of ArianeGroup and more specifically our economic interest in communicating simply and efficiently with you and understanding your needs and expectations.

 

  • to send you commercial information about ArianeGroup;

In this context, processing is based on the legitimate interest of ArianeGroup and more specifically on our economic interest in informing you of our activities and providing you with personalised offers;

 

  • to analyse your browsing on the Website and improve its use (see section 8 below on cookies);

In this context, the legal basis for processing is the legitimate interest of ArianeGroup and more specifically our economic interest in constantly improving our Website and our activities and offering you appropriate content and an optimal browsing experience.

 

 

4. Data recipients

ArianeGroup only discloses your personal data to authorised and specified recipients, in accordance with the provisions of applicable regulations.

In particular, ArianeGroup may allow companies in our group and any third party service providers to access your personal data in order to provide services relating to the Website and to ArianeGroup services (in particular hosting, storage, analysis, data processing, database management, IT maintenance, communication/direct marketing and recruitment services).

Data transmissions to these service providers (whatever their legal status, whether processor or controller) are secure. ArianeGroup undertakes to ensure that each recipient is aware of the guiding principles of personal data protection and is subject to them pursuant to the law and/or a specific contract.

Your personal data may also be shared with third parties for the following reasons:

 

  • in the event of a merger or acquisition of all or part of ArianeGroup by a third party, which you accept;
  • in response to judicial or administrative proceedings of any kind or to law enforcement measures requested by competent authorities;
  • to comply with legal obligations, to protect the rights and/or safety of an individual, to protect the rights and property of ArianeGroup, including the need to enforce this Data Protection Policy, and to prevent fraud and security or technical issues.

 

5. Data transfer

ArianeGroup stores your personal data within the European Union with hosting service providers subject to the GDPR.

 

 

6. Data storage

The storage periods applied by ArianeGroup comply with the regulations applicable on the date hereof, i.e.:

 

  • for data collected within the framework of your requests/queries made via the Website: we store your data for as long as is necessary to process the relevant requests/queries and, if they relate to a contract between ArianeGroup and yourself, for the duration of the contractual relationship and for five years thereafter (as an archive);
  • for data collected when you consent to receive our direct marketing: we store your data for a period of three years dating from our last contact with you;
  • when cookies or other trackers are placed on your device, they are stored in accordance with legal obligations and recommendations issued by the authorities (i.e. 13 months in France for cookies and trackers that are not essential to the functioning of the Website).

 

7. Your rights

You have the following rights with regard to your personal data:

 

  • Right of access: You have the right to obtain (i) confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning you are being processed and, where that is the case, to obtain (ii) access to and a copy of such data.

  • Right to restriction of processing: In certain cases, you have the right to obtain the restriction of processing of your personal data.
  • Right to data portability: You have the right to receive the personal data concerning yourself which you have provided to ArianeGroup, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and you have the right to transmit those data to another controller without hindrance from ArianeGroup. This right applies only where the processing of your personal data is based on your consent or on the execution of a contract and where the processing is carried out by automated means.
  • Right to object: You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing of personal data concerning yourself where such processing is based on the legitimate interests of ArianeGroup. ArianeGroup may, however, invoke legitimate grounds requiring their continued processing. When your personal data are processed for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of such data. You can exercise this right by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the messages you receive.
  • Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: You have the right to contact the CNIL (Commission nationale de l’information et des libertés – French National Data Protection Commission) to lodge a complaint about ArianeGroup’s personal data protection practices.
  • Right to give instructions concerning the post-mortem use of your data: You have the right to give ArianeGroup instructions concerning the post-mortem use of your personal data.

8. Cookies

This Data Protection Policy applies to cookies and other technological systems used in the digital services published by ArianeGroup and accessible by Users via their computer, tablet, smartphone or other mobile device, in particular the Internet services on the Website.

Users are informed that, when they visit the Website, a cookie may be automatically installed on their browser. A cookie is a block of data that does not enable Users to be identified but is used to record information relating to their Website browsing.

Cookies are secure; they can only store information that is made available by the browser, information that the User has previously entered in the browser or that is included in page requests.
