They adapt our company’s technologies and processes to the needs of our customers. They work closely with the design offices and ensure that production constraints are taken into account right from the product design stage. They also keep a permanent watch on production technologies and processes.

This involves advising on industrial choices and proposing techniques adapted to market needs.

Vision and tasks
The role of the supply chain is to deliver products or services that comply with the commitments made, by coordinating all the activities involved in meeting the customer’s needs. This means not only managing physical supply and production flows, but also optimising information and financial flows. Risks must also be managed to ensure compliance with quality criteria, costs and lead-times.

Maintenance

Our maintenance teams implement resources, methods and tools to optimise the availability of industrial facilities. They are also responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance of these facilities in accordance with safety, cost and lead-time criteria.

I first started working for the company in the design office on developing the first stage of the M51, and now I produce it. It’s great to be able to get back to reality like this, because when you work in design, you tend to idealise. I find it really exciting having to deal with the difficulties and motivate the teams to come up with a solution.
I like the fact that my job gives me a view across the whole Group; I enjoy working on the ground a lot and being involved in many different tasks: designing and training; coordinating all the business communities to go from demonstrator to series production; working with experts and specialists from different industries who help to develop the solution; and preparing the ramp-up of Ariane 6 and the M51.
